We are pleased that you are interested in membership in Viking Yacht Club. It is a cruising club made up of both sailboat and powerboat owners. Formed in 1959, Viking Yacht Club, although small in comparison with other clubs in the area, enjoys name familiarity throughout Puget Sound. We have reciprocal privileges with many other yacht clubs in Puget Sound and Canada. Club cruises are scheduled throughout the year.
In order to apply for membership you will need to complete an application with the member who is sponsoring you. The fee is 200.00, which includes initiation costs, one person paid for in advance for the commodore's ball, and the annual dues prorated in advance per month through October 21. Your cost will be dependent on the month you actually become a member, which will be indicated on your application. Upon receiving your application and check, the Viking Board will review it and publicize your intentions in the LUR, our club newsletter. Before accepting you for membership, you are required to attend at least two Viking events (meetings and/or cruises). Then with our mutual acceptance, you shall be sworn in as new Viking member(s) at the next scheduled meeting.
